Drs. Wim Jurg (1934 - 2019) was prediker, pastoraal therapeut en docent. Zijn roeping begon als zendeling in Zuid-Italië. Na terugkeer in Nederland vervolgde hij zijn studies in Pastoraat en Psychotherapie aan de Theologische Universiteit Kampen, waar Dr. Gerben Heitink hem aanspoorde om zich verder te specialiseren in pastorale hulpverlening. Na zijn opleiding tot drugsconsulent aan de Jellinek Kliniek in Amsterdam en aanvullende pastorale en psychotherapeutische scholing (KPV en RINO, Amsterdam en Utrecht), werkte hij twaalf jaar lang als voorlichter, docent en drugsconsulent bij de CDB gevestigd in Balkbrug (1974-1986), waar hij zich inzette voor de ondersteuning van verslaafden. Dit werk mondde uiteindelijk uit in de oprichting van het Pastoraal Therapeutisch Centrum Tabitha te Lutten in september 1986. Hier bood het centrum uitgebreide hulpverlening en een opleiding tot pastoraal therapeut. Drs. Jurg was hier nauw betrokken als therapeut, leertherapeut en supervisor. Wim Jurg (1934 - 2019) was a pastor, pastoral therapist, and educator. He began his career as a missionary in Italy. Upon returning to the Netherlands, Dr. Gerben Heitink, a professor at the Theological University in Kampen, encouraged him to further specialize in pastoral counseling and therapy. After completing his training as a drugs consultant at the Jellinek Clinic in Amsterdam, and while pursuing additional studies in pastoral care (CPE) and psychotherapy (RINO in Amsterdam and Utrecht), he spent 12 years working as an educator, spokesperson, and drugs consultant at the CDB in Balkbrug (1974-1986). This experience ultimately led to the founding of Tabitha in Lutten in 1986, a center dedicated to pastoral therapeutic care and the training of pastoral therapists.
